« on: April 25, 2012, 09:34:49 pm »

I just traded a 1988 ford ranger for a 1980 short bed 4x4 chevy.  and just thought i would stop in and see what i can see in the site and let you guys see it and tell me what you think . The ranger i trader i had about 800 in it so. I think i made out good. The chevy  has 6"
suspension lift  36" super swampers 3/4 ton rears. Its a 350 4 speed

To each his own, personally not a fan of the stacks, but still good looking truck.

Welcome to the site from California.  Nice starting point for a truck, what are your plans for the truck ?  Are you going to drive it the way it is or do you have plans for modifications.

I plan on replacing all the rust with new panels. and fix the front end were the guy before me had it cut the fenders not sure if i want to keep it like it is or just get a new front clip i like the fact that it is easy to work on the way it is but i cant make up my mind

got a? can any one tell me by looking at these springs if there 1/2 or 3/4 ton springs because if I give my truck some gas the yoke moves about 3 " up or down in reverse and I'm not sure if it is just weak springs or what but I see were the guy before me has been in to the spring pack and cut some springs down so I don't know if he put them together right or what any help would be greatly appreciated thanks guys.

this one right at the hanger seams to be flexing real bad.
