My 1982 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4. 350 sb with 4 speed and np208. 14 bolt corporate rear end with 4.11 gears. 4 inch lift with 315x75R16 tires on american racing aluminum rims. bought the truck my junior year of high school. replaced almost every body panel and repainted about 7 years ago. My dad has a body shop so I grew up doing body work. This was a father son project.
edit-Image didn't post. any suggestions?

Nice looking truck. Always happy to hear about family projects, must be nice that your dad owns a body shop.

Thanks. I'm finally getting some money gathered up to fix all the stuff I couldn't afford when the truck was built. look forward to posting more pictures as I make progress. I have a few pictures of the initial build, gunna have to locate them tho.

There are hardly any of these builds that actually get done completely the first time, so don't feel too bad.

Progress from the last couple weeks. replaced the rear brakes (shoes, wheel cylinders, springs, brake lines and axle seals) and changed grease in the rear jug while I was at it. Also replaced the annoying loud straight pipes with dual thrush turbo mufflers w/ turndowns in front of the axle and repainted the rusted shocks. Project this week: work on tuning the accelerator pump on the Holley 600 cfm and pull the gauges and clean them up.

I know a lot of people like the turn down before the axle, I have never been a big fan of it though. But as long as you like the sound, you have to drive it.

yeah, I would prefer to have the exhaust ran out behind the rear tires. My truck already had the turndowns with straightpipes. I just cut the pipe out and welded in the mufflers, quieter and only cost me $50!

got the gauges pulled out today. cleaned them up and replaced all the dash lights. still having trouble with my gas gauge and voltage gauge. ran out of daylight, but will continue work on it this tomorrow
I decided to repaint the rings around gauges with a red paint pen while I had the bezel out
