Front sway bar on a 84
« on: May 09, 2012, 06:40:38 am »
I did a search and it seems a lot of members like the Hellwig product. My question........do I also need the front frame brackets to complete the kit?

With out tieing the sway bar to the frame it will not work, so I would say if they offer it as an addition, and you do not have them on your truck already then you need them.

Thanks,

I looked a Summit who offers the "kit" and it did not mention frame brackets, so I wasn't sure if they (Hellwig) were using some other method.

If you still have questions, go to Summit's website and click the "Brands" tab to get contact info for the manufacturer.  Hellwig makes a top shelf product.

After all this, I found a local guy with an original sway bar and brackets.  :D
