updating fuse box

On my 73 i have the wonderful glass fuses. I'm stripping my 89 blazer and though about installing the blazer fuse box into my 73. The blazer is TBI so i know there is wiring i wont need. My question is, would it be easier to swap the fuse box/harness out of the blazer, or just buy a new fusebox/harness and wire it all up from scratch?

     Anything is possible.  But you are talking about a lot of work and if you get wires messed up or crossed it could become frustrating very fast.  Have you checked into updating the 73 with a after market one before you go and get one from a 89 ?

Ya i was seeing what would be easier. I didnt want to spend an arm and leg for a aftermarket harness, but if it will save me time (and possible money) in the long run i guess that the better option

What do you have against glass fuses? They don't cook or clean, nag too much, have gained a few pounds over the years? ::)

My 74 has glass fuses it doesn't bother me. I just keep an assortment in the glove box since most gas stations out here don't have them anymore.

Unless your harness is butchered beyond repair, I'd just leave it alone.

     I personally do the same for my 74, I think it is easier to see (for me) when a glass fuse has blown than the mini ones.

On the LS conversion I am doing I am pulling out all of the TBI harness along with other wires I don't need.  It is time consuming to remove all of it, but you don't have to remove it.  You can just leave it there.  I don't want it in there so I am pulling it all.  Keep in mind the Blazer will be fine until you start heading to the rear where you will need more length.
