only way i can get them without ruining them is using line wrench crows-feet.

When I took mine apart to get my frame blasted and powder coated, I removed the clips holding them and unhooked all connections and "wiggled" them out the holes.  Oh course by that time I had the bed and body off the frame.

I have only replaced lines using factory locations and routing.  Well worth the added effort to put it back the way GM intended. My $.02

Where is this particular hole that is a problem to you...on the rails or across the front crossmember? Lorne

where the crossmember fits the frame, there are i dunno 2 inch holes or so that the lines feed through. its pretty snug fitting throgh them. i just wondered  what others have done.

do  you guys rebuild from scratch (flareing and all) or just buy the closest length from the parts store?

I buy all my lines in rolls, flare and form them to follow the original locations.
