So, my xbox 360 took a crap the other night. It wouldnt read my discs. After a short diagnosis I coulsnt hear the disk even spinning. So, I popped the case open and investigated. I had come to find the motor in the disc drive was seized from beong on 24/7 for a year or two. Now this is my aecond xbox, and the first one's disc drive broke too, except the laser broke on that one. When the first one broke I opened it up, bought a new disc drive and tries to swap them out, but you have to extract a code saved on the old drive and inject it into the new one for it to work. While doing the code swapped I erased the hard drive on my computer on accident and couldnt do the wlswap. We ended up getting the new xbox and I just set the old one aside. So, when my current one broke I went and scavenged the 2 disc droves from my old xboc for parts. Xbox 360s have 4 different disc drive and I somehow ended up with 3 of the 4 so I had no.parts that would interchange to the new xbox. So I went online to find a new motor for my drive and I was talking to one of my roomates about it and he goes in his closet and pulls out an xbox. He said it wouldnt turn on and I could use it for parts. I popped his.open and got.lucky. His xbox had the same.disc.drive as mine. So I pulled his motor out and awapped.it.into.mine, runs like a champ now. so, while I has my xbox apart, I decided I wanted to do a case mod. And my brother wanted to do his too. So we got to cutting. Heres what I ended up with, and ill have to get a pictute of his. Im going to put plexiglass behind the hole and put lights inside of it.
