MY 84' C10 LWB WITH 20'' TAHOE RIMS.
« on: June 30, 2012, 10:32:45 pm »
This is my 84' C10. I took the wheels of the my Tahoe and mocked them up to my truck to see how they would look. I'm not to sure about it. I know that I would need adapters. I would like some input from you guys. Thanks!   ;D

I don't think they would look that bad as long as you evened up the front and rear tire to wheel well height.  The front has more of a space and it is making it look funny.  I do not know if it is the way the truck is siting or not, just does not look right.

They don't look bad. Just be careful with adaptors, they could push the wheels out of the wheel well

The truck is on jackstands. That is why it is sitting like that. I should of took the time to level it right. It still gave me a general idea what it will look like. Thanks.

Your post states that your truck is a C10.  C10's have 5-lug wheels, correct?  I know you already know this, since you state that you'll need adapters -- the Tahoe wheels you're talking about using are 6-lug.  I went through this a while back looking for adapters to go from 5-lug to 6-lug and was unable to find ANY that would adapt a wheel that has a 6x5.5" bolt pattern like your Tahoe wheels to a 5x5" hub like the C10.  I called several companies that I found online that make adapters, and they told me the bolt pattern measurements were too close together to be able to drill the 6-lug pattern correctly.

Don't get discouraged, though.  You might have better luck than I did in locating proper adapters.

I had found the adapters. But after doing more research i realized that that adapter has to share one of the same holes so it would have to be a 2 piece adapter. I don't plan on doing this any time soon. But when i do I would probably just change axles and rotors. Much safer too! Thanks for the input.
