Thanks for the welcomes, when I get around to it I'll post some pictures of my truck. I bought my girlfriends dads 84 GMC longbed 2 wheel drive. It's been setting for 8 years. He's been gone for 12 years now. Her brother Jim has it setting under a tree. She pretty dirt and needs a rocker panel and cab corner so far. I plan to pull the engine and build it some and add a shift kit to the trans. Should be bringing it home this weekend. Updates to follow.

Welcome from Alaska, Skippy.  Why are you rebuilding the engine?  Has it seized up from sitting so long out in the open?  Or are you just doing some upgrades?  Anyway, wish you the best on the truck .
