292 I6 + TH400?
« on: July 22, 2012, 01:13:25 pm »
I was wondering if it's possible that a TH400 can bolt right up to a 292. Or is there some kind of adaptor kit or vice-versa that I need to do it with.

I think the 400 did come behind the 292, should bolt up.

Bulletproof indeed! And if this was optional, I guess it's now just a matter of finding a truck with this setup, or just piece one together, lol...

292 + 400 combo was available from the factory in a K30 (possibly other models too). I've seen one before, I believe it was a '79 K30 w/ fulltime 4wd.
