A/C Duct
« on: July 26, 2012, 09:14:58 am »
I'm needing the a/c duct for the far right/passenger vent. I have everything but the middle tube piece. Who sells them? Also anyone got any tips (besides jamming something under them) to keep the A/C diverters from moving around & falling down?

The tube is available at your local auto parts store. ( they will have to order it) Its just a piece of corrugated flexable tube. As far as keeping the vent diffusers in place they are fastened to the back of the dash with the plastic pegs that are part of the dash trim piece, there are speed nuts that hold everything together.

Thanks! Found it on the Autozone website! $15  Think I'm going to try some 2 sided 3M tape to attach the duct adapter to the back of the dash? The pegs are broken off...I think

Well none off the part stores here in town had one. What size did you use? The duct adapter measures 3 1/4

You could get the 3 1/2" and zip tie it. Or go to a junkyard and get all the parts you need.

On one of my trucks, I used some flexible tubing from the RV section at Walmart. I think it was actually for the sewer drain on campers and RV's.  It's not the exact same size, but it worked.

Thanks! That's a good idea. I'm going to check the local hardware stores tonight. Got the a/c charged up last night its working good now.
