Can I put an HEI distributor cap and coil on an ESC distributor and have it work the same? Its on an 89 gmc suburban 2500 with a 350. I dont know how the ESC hooks yo the distributor so thats why I am asking if it is possible.

Yes this is exactly what I did with my recent build, because I didn't see. The need to buy a new dizzy. There are two wires you splice and join. Then you unplug the esc controller. And you now set the timing

My esc is unplugged and no codes... if you have to worry about emissions. Thenthis may not be for you.someone else may chime in. :-)
