« on: August 06, 2012, 06:58:36 pm »
i have a 79 k10. my front leaf spring bushings are trashed. i need buying advice.
questions........do you buy these in certain sizes? i want to make sure i get the right ones. should i take the old one out and measure it? i think it has a 4" lift. would that change things? summit has a 3-2106g kit. is this fit certain? are these tough to get into the leafs? i know thats 5 questions but i think i set it up for quick and easy to type answers so thanks in advance. wish me luck.

i want to say they are the same except for the body mounts. you wont be able to remove the old ones without destroying them even more

There is a few diffrent bushings for each manufacture, I'd verify the inner diameter of the spring eye before you order, unless you know who made your springs.

Then I fear the kit I spoke abOut is a bad idea as it has both leafs and the shackle. What is the best way to acquire these?

Take all the guess work out of this and call someone that works on this stuff, not just sells it. Imo, call Off Road Design and tell them what you want to do and they will help you get what you need. They are great people with an great reputation.
