Stake Pocket Plugs
« on: August 07, 2012, 01:03:34 pm »
I'll be looking soon for a bed cover for my truck
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EXG-14535/?rtype=10

I'm 90% sure it won't cover the stake pocket holes, so to make the bed waterproof (for rain)  I'll need some stake pocket plugs.  Nothing weld-in  just the stick-em-in type.  preferably metal so i can paint them body color.

Do any of yall know the best kind to get?  which fit well and which to avoid?  I'd like smooth finish, but if textured is the best fit and closest to flush, I'd do that too.

thanks fellas!   8)

I just passed on (this past spring) a nice fiberglass one made for our trucks, it was used and in nice shape.  I see them on Craigslist from time to time, and with the south having a better population of the 73-87's you may luck out if you are patient and want that style.
