I just redid my system in the Crew Cab. I put Pioneer TS-A6964R 6x9's in the rear corners and 3.5" Infinity X REF-3002cfx's in the front corners. I tried putting 4" Infinities in the front (previous front speakers were 4") and while I could get the RH one to fit the LH one wouldn't without some surgery on the metal part of the dash (the Infinity speakers had much larger magnets). I didn't want to butcher it up, so I went back to the 3.5".
I coupled those with the new Pioneer DEH-P9400BH receiver that has Bluetooth and HD radio built in.
I think it sounds great! I don't drive around trying to impress everyone with my music, but I can turn it up pretty loud and it is clear and crisp. I was very selective in my speakers though. One of the most important things is that you pick speakers that have the same sensitivity ratings. I also chose the Pioneer 6x9's because they had the widest frequency response. The Infinity X-Ref speakers are also very high-quality and come with high-pass filters integral to the speakers to protect the tweaters.
