Headlight conversion

So, I was wondering. How hard would it be to install the 88-98 1 piece dual headlights on my 89 suburban with the individual dual headlight. They are more or less the same. The main reason I'm looking to do this is because of the fact that the 88-98 headlights aren't sealed beam. They use 9005's and 9006's. I'm looking to installing HIDS and it would be a whole heck of a lot easier with the 88-98 housings. It's really hard to find H4701 and H4703 conversion housings. I enjoy Superior Exterior Illumination.

I ended up passing the idea by for now and ordered a pair of Euro style lights from the vendor whom shalt not be named. Cost me 83 bucks and another 33 bucks for an HID kit. It should all be here in about a week, which would be awesome since my birthday is on the 31st and I wanna have these suckers in because I'm taking my big bad suburban out to the lake for my birthday.

Report back on how much brighter they are. The stock head lights on these 89-91 Suburbans are pathetic at best.

Agreed. Hopefully that vendor doesn't screw me on shipping. It said I'd have it in 5-7 days on Thursday when I ordered them but I still have no tracking information.

They can be installed, I have seen it done, but it takes some fabrication work at best.

Do like I did, I bought some under the bumper driving lights, and aimed them high and they only come on with the high beams. I can see at least a 1/2 mile off on the freeway on a nice straight stretch.
