Broken drivers power window wire
« on: August 29, 2012, 10:13:59 pm »
I have two wires that are broke right at where they go into the connector that snaps on the switch. My questions are, 1. Can I buy a new harness for this 2. Can I repair this as it is. 3. Do I just need to search the junk yards for a pigtail and splice it together.

I have pulled a couple of panels at the junk yard and those wires were broke as well. The wires are very rigid. I would have thought they might be a little more flexible.

I think either of these P/N's will work for your window switch:

ACDelco PT188 (crosses to GM 12101916)

or

ACDelco PT546 (crosses to GM 12125634)

In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!
