reload,

the visor was on the truck when i bought it 10 years ago.....   I was thinking of getting rid of it when I had the body done, but decided to keep it....  your not the first person who does not really go for the visor...  it's usually a 50/50 split......

I kind of like it because it has the lights.... if it was the plain one i would have tossed it when i had the truck painted....

Capt....bd....zieg....  thanks for the great comments!!!   Almost time to put it away for the North East Winters  LOL

Thanks
Mike

Gildardo,

Nice pickup on the coffee cup!!!   I was at a show and I had my chair setup with my coffee in the holder and I moved it out of the way to snap some pics..  If you look just behind the rear tires on the sidewalk you will see the legs of the fold up chair....

Thanks for the compliments!!!

Mike

Wow that thing is beautiful!  Love that color grey, fantastic choice!  Very, very, very jealous.  Hopefully my '86 Short Bed looks that good one day.  Inspiration.

Love it.  I always liked the visors on these trucks.  How much lift does it have?

Nice looking truck.
The wheels and tires do make it look tough.
As for having a wife that buys you custom wheels and over sized tires as a birthday present....
Dude she's a keeper!!!

Hey Guys,

thanks for all the great replies..... OK let me give you a bit of a run down on the truck.....

I bought it in 2003 from the 2nd owner.  he owned a used car dealer and it was on his lot.... i picked it up for peanuts... guess he did not know what he really had  :)

It's an 87 SWB as you can see...  CUSTOM DELUXE model.  It came with A/C PW and PDL.  It also has a 4-speed which sold me right away.  It's a 350 motor that's completely stock.

Honestly I am not sure of the gears in the 10-bolt axles but if anyone could offer info of what they might be i would appreciate it.

When I bought the truck it was  black and had an add a leaf with the stock rally wheels and 31" tires.

I put the 4" lift on myself and had 33" tires as well...

About 2 years ago the decision was to ether dump the truck because it was rusting bad and at the time was my DD.... OR do somewhat of a restoration on it and make it a show truck without breaking the bank.....    As you can see I decided to keep it and invest some time and money...

Believe me this truck is far from perfect, but I like the way it turned out and it does get a ton of looks.....

Here she is with just the add a leaf and 33's

and with the 4"

Here are some body shop shots...  I stripped the truck and had it delivered to the shop...

Thanks for looking and i love the responses!!!

Thanks
Mike
