What year of cabs in the 80 era will fit a 86 chevy? Any help would be great.

73-87 and old style 1 ton 88-91

81-87 would be the easiest but like Edahall said 73-87 then on one ton's they used the same body style for a bit longer. Try to find one with the same hump as what you have now. Use your original wiring too if you are too far off in years.
