Put a motor in this a few months back.
« on: November 03, 2012, 12:32:27 am »
I keep forgetting to put the pics up. He bought it unseen and had it shipped from Colorado. Truck was in great shape. Had a couple small rust holes in front of the rear wheels, each rocker had holes but the edges are all there, and two tiny ones just inside the tail gate on the floor. Other than that any rust was surface rust. The frame under neath was still 90% original paint!
He knew the motor was tired when he bought it. He found a low milage early 70's 350 from a friends granmothers car that had been sitting in a barn for almost 30 years after the son had wrecked it as a teenager. He brought it to us at my formner place of employment. I just cleaned the motor up, swapped on the 4 barrel intake, with a quadrajet,  put some valve cover, oil pan gaskets in it, and gave it a spray bomb Chevy orange.

Custom Sport Truck.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs
