Painting process - steps to take?

I've rounded up all new fenders (inner & outer) and doors and want to get my truck (less box) painted. I'm trying to decide if its best to have everything painted loose and assemble it when I bring it home, or to ship it all off the the body shop and have them do it complete...

Whats the best process to do this in?

Hanging fenders and doors freshly painted is at least a 2 person job.  If the color is metallic have it all done on the truck.  Always a good idea to edge everything with the final color before you bolt everything on.  I am doing white so I can do one panel at a time with no color drift.  I am sure others will respond with their opinions.

If your looking to save money you could have the body shop prep, prime, and cut all the body panels with your color of choice. Take the truck to them with the doors and fenbders if you have rust or colision repairs to be done to the cab. Then you could hang them all, and get them adjusted. Then take the truck to them and have them spray it.

thanks guys - havent decided on color yet. I like the idea of having a shop cut everything and then assembling it all and have them do the final paint. I gotta save a few bucks where I can as they are hard to come by these days
