« on: November 25, 2012, 07:34:16 pm »
so a couple buddies and me went and did a creek run today, mostly just 2wd cruising, but had to loke the hubs twice. well i exploded the rf u joint on the axle and broke the spindle. ended up (shamefully) getting pulled out by my buddies yota. im runnin a 10 bolt front, any specific years that have bigger stronger spindle? can i use the 3/4 ton spindles?

I do not believe the 3/4 ton will work in the 1/2 ton, but if I am wrong someone will correct me.  After market is suppose to have a beefier spindle, but as I have not used one I can not say for sure if it is stronger.

Are you sure it was not a Dana 44 axle ?

Only difference between a 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton axles is the caliper plate, caliper,  and rotor. The apindle and bearings are the same.
