One way to look at it, it needs work so you can now make it your truck and how you like it since you are going to be fixing it up anyway.   ;D

Yeah bake74, that's why I think my wife picked this truck up. She wants to help in the restore as she's a novice mechanic. We're hoping to do a frame up with a lot of customization to it. So it's a nice shell to start from. Right now she's getting the little things fixed. It has some brake issues, the guy before us didn't install the starter shim, getting the brakes worked on, and many other little misc little stuff. She just told me this morning that it doesn't have a radio or any speakers. So I guess for a while it's the sound of the engine that'll be my music! lol

That is nice your wife will be working along side of you, As long as you both agree on how it should be built.

I sent her the list of things I wanted to do, customizations, paint, interior, etc. The only thing she has a problem with are the bucket seats. She wants me to keep a bench in it. So we compromised on a 60/40 split bench. I may lose my floor shifter, but with everything else she is letting me do, it's not a bad compromise! lol

Yeah, I can't wait to get home and start. Problem is that 30 days after getting home I have to leave for another four months and then we move again. So i probably won't really get started until july of next year, unless i put it in a shop and let someone else have all the fun, which won't happen!
