Does anyone know if putting 2'' lowering shackles on rear will generally speaking level out an 87 silverado?

You should get fairly level with a 2" shackle. Depending on how stiff your springs are, how good your shocks are, and what size tires you have, you may end up +/- a half inch. Looks 10 times better though!!!

Thanks Slamd86, I can of felt that would do it. I am thinking of doing a 2/4 drop down the road. Probably spindles and shackles/hangers. thanks for your help.

you can take some leaf springs out of the pack along with the shackles. all depends on how low you want to go. remember the front wheel wells on our trucks are higher than the rear.
