Hump cover for 1973 C-20 + other ?s

Back at it again working on my 1973 C-20. This time I have swapped the SW465 for a 1972 TH 400 from a motor home and reinstalled the rebuilt SBC 400. Wondering if a small hump cover will fit in place of the high hump from the SW465. Also need info about which floor shifter to use for the TH400. Looking to replace steering column with a tilt one. I've had this truck since 1978 and just can't seem to stop working on it. It's been part of my life since my kids were small and when it's all done and said will be passing it on to my son.

I would appreciate any info about the hump cover and a possible shifter to purchase.

     I would say that since you took the SM465 a low hump would work as long as the TH400 has no high spot on the trans.
     As far as shifters go, depends on your likes, every brand that makes a floor shift housing will work.  It is hooking up the cables after that, that matters.  How much money do you want to spend ?

This is a low budget project as all of mine are but something in the $100 bracket would do. I am also wondering about a trans cooler since my current new 4 row radiator doesn't have auto trans connections. I was thinking of two 11X13 coolers plumbed together. One on either side of the center core support. Any thoughts on this idea?

The TH400 normally came under a High tunnel, but they will fit under a small one.  You could just use the same one as the SM465 and close up the shifter hole.

You will need a trans cooler, I recommend using one in the radiator as you are not so much "cooling" it off as keeping it constant.  Best practice is to run and aftermarket one inline with the stock one.

The problem is the new radiator doesn't have auto-trans cooler connections. So I am limited to just an aftermarket cooler.

Update on radiator. Took to radiator shop and had a four row trans cooler installed inside radiator.

I have a TCI FastGate (inexpensive compared to others) - I buillt a stand to lift it up higher off the floor...it doesn't really look great but it's functional.  If you want one that looks nice you should check out a Lokar with a long handle.   I heard from some people that the Lokar has a tendency to pop out of gear because of it's weight or something.
