I recently purchased an "86" military Blazer through a Gov. auction. The truck was purchased with the intent of re-selling to make a quick profit, but The thing is in such good shape that I hate to get rid of it. I am trying to weigh the pros. and cons. of compaired with a "90" GMC z71 gas pwrd. truck. Does anybody out there own one of these as a daily driver. The truck only has 38,000 mi. on it, is from Texas and is virtually rust free. Are these 6.2L diesels dependable and what kind of fuel mileage could I expect to get with a turbo 400 and 3.73 gears.
