My 87 R10
« on: January 14, 2013, 08:05:48 pm »
Ay yi yi... 2x my msg and description of my baby was wiped out by the file being too large. Grrrr.. Had a background, mods and future plans, but since my day starts extremely early tomorrow, for now, 1 pic and a summary will have to suffice.

87 r10, 8 ft longbed, 305 EFI. Just under 120k original miles. Truck originally came from NY so there's some rust spots where the elements and all that come along took their toll on part of her but we're working on some of those issues now. Lil more in depth info tomorrow guys, sorry, but i aint expect to lose 2 detailed msgs in a row, grrrrr.

Your picture must've been too large also because it did not post either.

If the message doesn't finish because of a file size error just use the back button..

Truck looks good.  What are your plans for it?

In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!

Wanna drop a 305 or 350 crate in it in a few months, rebuild the one thats in it. Fix the visual things such as replace fenders that are damaged, front valance, front bed panel. Tonneau cover, rhino liner or similar in the bed, 18-19 inch wheels a bit wider with a low pro tire, replace leaf springs, kick the bench seat out and switch to 2 buckets. Pretty much my gameplan right now. 1 thing at a time. Paint gon be a dark blue with white stripes all the way to the tailgate.
