unknown electrical connector
« on: January 20, 2013, 09:02:40 pm »
1986 c10 (305/th350)

I have a red connector with a green and yellow pair of wires on it.  It is near the transmission wires.

Anyone know what this should go to?

Do the wires have any other colors on them like a strip of a diffrent color?
It's hard to tell from the pic what side of the truck is it on and does it go into a wire loom or into the firewall?

The engine is out of the truck in the picture...the wire goes into the main harness and I believe it ends up somewhere near the 2 plugs that go to the transmission.

The plug is unique and very similar to the torque converter lock plug in style (it has round sides) inside the red plug harness.

This truck had the electronic spark control disabled and an HEI dist added before I got it, but I don't remember seeing this plug anywhere.

The wires are solid color (yellow and green).  This is the only red connector I have found on this truck.

TIA
Jason

I am not near the truck today...but I don't remember what the windshield washer pump connector looked like....and whether it was loomed with the headlight wiring or not.

Is this the pump for the winshield squirter?

That connector goes to the EGR bleed valve solenoid, it controls TCC lock up
