78 chevy bed on an 82 model?

Got an 82 sierra and am wondering if a 78 model bed will fit it with the same body lines. Found a good parts truck cheap and not sure?

Yes the body will line up.  78 will have holes for the filler tube and the gas cap shows, and single tank trucks have a passenger side tank where your 82 has the gas door that you know...
