Hello from San Juan Bautista area of California
« on: February 16, 2013, 03:38:58 pm »
Hi,
I'm Ricky.  I am 61, married, 4 grown kids, 6 grandkids.   I live in the San Juan Bautista area of California, and plan on retiring right here.  Just got a 1974 Chevy c10 stepside.  Cute little truck.  Big 350 and turbo 400 transmission, at least that's what I'm told. Pipes sound pretty.  Just had the suspension fixed a bit.  It was supposedly lowered, but the guy just cut the front springs and took some leafs out of the back.  Got new shocks and put airs on the back to level her up.  Next is to replace springs.  Since the leaves were removed from the back, the remaining leaves broke.  Thinking of going all the way back to stock heavy duty suspension.  Thing has 12 inch wide tires front and rear with aluminum rims.  Going back to stock size chrome rims and tires.  Interior was redone a couple of years ago so it's pretty and the paint
was done a few years ago so it's nice.  Feels like I'm a kid again!!

It's difficult to know just how much you don't know until you know it.
In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!

Welcome from Sac, Ca. And also a 74 step side, though it's a k10.
