suburban steering column help needed....
« on: February 27, 2013, 11:38:00 PM »
Hi everyone, I've got a small problem I was hoping I can find some help woth. I have an 88 suburban with a tikt column. The column was loose (typical tilt bolts backing out) so I was in the process of taking it apart when I broke off my pivot pin remover inside one of the pins (driver side). Is there a way to get the broken piece out without destroying the pin itself?

You broke the tool off in the pin?  That is a tiny bolt, did you get it out or is the pin still in?  I don't know of a ez out that small.

Did it break off flush?  Recoil makes a small screw extractor kit that might work (4507P), but it costs about $50.
