Stock ride height for a 1 ton 4x4

I need the measurement from the top of the axle to the top of the frame on a one ton 4x4. Just measure straight up from the axle. I am lifting mine with a set of coilover shocks, removing the leaf springs completely and would like to have a good reference.

Multiple answers are fine, I would suspect leaf springs would sag through the years.

I have 2 K-30s I'll try to get you some numbers from my trucks. It may take me a while.

My '77 K-30 with the 454/4sp measures 15 3/4" from the top of the axle tube (not the cast center housing) to the top of the frame rail.

My son's '85 K-30 with the 350/4sp measures 16" measuring the same spot.

My truck has an extra leaf added to the pack. His truck has stock GM three leaf springs.

     That right there tells how much a 454 weighs compared to a 350.  Or do you have anything extra on your truck Engineer compared to your sons truck ?  Heavy bumpers or winch maybe ?
     You have a extra leaf and it sits lower than your son's truck.

No, nothing extra. Mine doesn't have a hood right now.

Mine has a steel flywheel, and Lakewood bellhousing. His is cast iron fly wheel with aluminum bell.
