**Difference between 1987 GMC trim levels**
« on: March 08, 2013, 11:03:50 am »
Through the years GMC has used trim levels from Sierra, High Sierra, Sierra Grande, Sierra classic. Specific to the 1987 year model does anyone have knowledge of what levels were used and the differences. Comparatively Chevy had Custom Deluxe, Scottsdale, and Silverado.

In all that I have seen, pretty much anything went in 1987 due to the new model year change over in 1988, especially the truck plants that just made the regular cab pickups.

I was curious to the trim level difference, which level was "highest" versus entry level etc.

The trim levels are the same RPO as found on Jeff's site.  The names were just specific to the GMC vs Chevy.

Yes, both GMC and Chevy trim levels were identical down to the RPO number.
