An "is it possible" query.....
« on: March 26, 2013, 06:44:47 pm »
Has anyone tried t take a set of aftermarket wheels and by either drilling or self tapping screws tried to attach the original 4X4 Chevy centercaps to said wheels? I have a set of the caps and a nice set of either AR or Cragar wagon wheel type rims and would like to attempt. If someone has already tried and it isn't doable, then so be it but I thought it''d look cool together. Also considered buying the threaded lug nuts like you see on newer cars but that can get pretty salty. Thanks in advance for any response, Nathan

Drilling and tapping the wheels to accept the hub caps as long as they do not interfere with the lug nuts should be a easy job.

#2: There is no such thing as impossible, it just takes longer.

I've got Chevy rally caps on Dodge 20" steelies. They're held on with self tappers.
