Good Supplier for Touchup Paint in Spray Cans ?
« on: March 27, 2013, 02:39:19 pm »
Greetings!  I recently bought a nice 87 Silverado 350 tbi and am new to the group here.  I've already learned a great deal.  When I bought the truck I assumed that Duplicolor would carry a spray can of GM code61 (WA8265) Tan.  Apparently not - they seem not to make anywhere near the colors that they used to.  Anyway, I'm looking for a place to have several cans of this filled (preferably in an acrylic enamel).  Has anybody dealt with a company that they can recommend?

I head to the ppg dealer here in town, they have this thing that matches the paint perfectly,  and a a spray can only cost 9.99.

Any auto parts store that mixes paint should be able to set you up with the correct code in a spray bomb.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Thanks. I'll look for a ppg dealer around here.  $9.99 a can sounds really good.  I've seen online sites selling cans for as much as $25.00 each.

Give me a few days; There is a place in ca that specializes in this thing and is knowledgeable about current and former gm colors.   i had to go thru this with mahogany metallic which duplicolor does not produce anymore(?)  (also came on corvettes).

i have since abandoned this and went with red because they gave it to me for free at Advance auto.
