Speedometer gear
« on: March 30, 2013, 07:19:26 am »
The plastic speedometer gear that's in the transfer case in the 73-87 chevy trucks come in different colors don't they? And if I remember right you can swap them out to calibrate your gauge to match new tire sizes. If I'm correct is this still a common part to find and if so which one would I need to get it back close to what it should be with 35" tires?

I don't know the answer to your question. But I had to get a new speedo pinion a while back and the owner at this place was the only one in town to know what I needed. He used to run the place as a transmission shop, now he does parts. You might give him a call. https://plus.google.com/109509960763135816326/about
