New door gaskets .... Something wrong

I just installed new rubber door gaskets and I can't make the doors shut.  I know the truck hasn't been adjusted to close tighter with the old worn gaskets.  If I really slam the doors, it will shut...but the top of the door is bending out from the pressure.

Will the gasket settle...or did I do something wrong?

Is the rest of the door flush with the cab? aside form the top bending out like you mentioned...
