Power door lock hole plug???

I know this is probably a head scratcher but...  Has anyone plugged the factory hole in a door panel for the power door lock switch?  I know I could just put switches in and be done with it but I think I would rather plug the holes somehow.  Looking for ideas.  I am repainting them anyway so anything goes...

If you smoke, how about one of those little pop-out ashtrays like they used to put in the back seats of cars? Or...and I'm just being creative her...how about a headphone jack and usb port so your passenger can use headphones and charge their phone? Or, um, use that area to anchor a drink holder on each side.

you can use fiberglass to plug the hole and then either sand the whole thing smooth, or if you want to keep the stock texture look I have seen guys use bed liner and then paint it (or tint the bed liner) and it gives a pretty close texture to stock. But other then buying non power window panels do not think much else you can do.

I am interested in these plugs, don't mind buying them if they work.  The door panels that I have are from a 90 which are manual window, PDL.  These have the wood grain insert to match the dash bezel that is also going in it.

Sorry I guess that's what I get for typing a reply at work. I meant to say buy different door panels (not plugs). If I remember correct doesn't the wood grain panel pop out and you can change it from panel to panel. I did not think the wood grain was in the part where locks or window crank is on that year. I might be wrong but I thought it was just the strip by where the pull strap is.

Thanks for the reply.  Here is the difference I am facing.  The blue ones are the panels from a 1990.  I am going to replace the fabric with black vinyl to match the seats and I have the wood grain speedometer bezel and dash pad in-lay.  The door panels will be sprayed black.  The red ones are up to 1987 I think.   I will keep the PDL switches if I can find anything to look nice, just asking if anyone has tried to plug the hole.

Ooo....pictures are worth a thousand words. I have never seen the ones from the 90s square body's I guess. I just assumed they were the same as the 87s. Makes a hole lot more since now. Yeah you kind of have a pickle there.

The Door panels are the same up to 1991, the difference is the Red ones are the base door panels with no inserts.  The Blue ones with the Woodgrain have the inserts that are specific to the Suburban, on the pickups, the pull strap strip runs all the way across and the insert is shorter.
