80 Chevy c-10 4x4

This is my $100.00 dollar truck that I bought about 4 1/2 years ago...and it runs...all I had to do was add 5 quarts transmission fluid and a good dipstick.(the old one was broke and there was not enough fluid in the new transmission. It sat in my back yard because I assumed the front pump in the trans was cracked. When i had my flooring business my helper had this truck and his wife blew the transmission. he had it rebuilt and put it in himself.it didn't work so he replaced the convertor.it didn't work again so he told my wife he was gonna junk the truck. he said a junkyard might give him 100 for the truck. so my wife gave him $100 and i went and got the truck..i figured i had to pull the trans so it sat in my backyard for a few years. i was gonna start pulling the transmission when i realized the dipstick was broke.i went to advance auto and bought my first piece of chrome(a chrome direct fit dipstick and tube for a turbo 350)The truck runs great except for needing a tune up and adjust the holley carb...so now i get to start the customizing work  :)

Hey Irish...no he had a professional shop rebuild it...I know the shop and they are really good.....My helper claimed to be a mechanic but he doesn't know a thing about cars. he was on my pit crew when i was racing cars..but as my wife says..his loss is my gain...lol...first thing i am gonna do is double check all his work...i am gonna start and the interior and work my way out..i am glad i found this site...a lot of real good information on here.
