puttin a nv3500 in my 82 GMC stepside
« on: June 16, 2013, 05:35:54 pm »
I have an 82 GMC stepside pickup that I'm putting an nv3500 5 speed trans in with a 350 4bolt out of an 78 3/4 ton truck, truck had a 305 with an 700r4 that work ok but not enough power. I have what I need to do the mockup, but I need a picture of the firewall from an 85 to 87 1 ton to see where the master cylinder goes through the firewall.I have to use the master cylinder from the 85 1 ton and the slave cylinder from the 90 chevy that the trans came from. Can anyone help with this problem.

Did you get the pedal from the 1985?  if so there is only one place it can go and that is to the right of the brake master cylinder..

the pedals came out of a 85 1ton and I think I figured it out my truck has several holes that had wires running through them one is in the right place for the clutch master cylinder
