Small block GM is probably about the easiest motor in the world to swap. Get the flywheel, You will need longer bolts too as flex plate bolts are not long enough to hold a flywheel on. Use blue locktite on them, and the pressure plate bolts. I am assuming you are using a new clutch? Get that all mounted onto the motor. I would suggest new motor mounts, they are cheap insurance. Make sure they go back exactly where the old ones were. If they are not right you will fight the motor going in until your blue in the face. Could even leave them a bit loose, and tighten them after the bell housing bolts, and motor mount bolts are in? I remove the distributor cap so as not to crush it by mistake. Jack the trans up until the bell housing touches the cab. Tip the motor to about the same angle. and drop it down in place.
