86 k10 hydraulic clutch
« on: July 12, 2013, 04:10:53 pm »
I have been having problems with the hydraulic clutch on my 86 k10. Three trips to the repair shop driving with no clutch; first trip-new slave cylinder, second trip, new master cylinder, third trip a rebleed of system. Each time the clutch worked OK for days, then failed completely. As the 4th failure happened a good ways from the shop, the slave cylinder was obviously leaking, and the shop didn't seem to be able to fix it anyway, I bought a new slave cylinder and installed it. Now the clutch engages/disengages about 6 inches from the floorboard, much higher than ever before. I'm not sure what has changed in the system. Anyone have any experience with a hydraulic clutch engaging that high?
