Missing some digits there, I think.  The last 6 numbers are the sequence number off the line, the 318,920th unit built that year.  Working backwards, "F" should be the Flint, MI plant.  "C8" beats me.

I have looked all over the frame there are no other numbers. I guess I am screwed I will take pic's and post them I hope  that will help.

this is only a partial vin that all you will find on the frames. i dont know how to decode it or even the order. the c part could stand for chevy or it could be for 96" or 106" conventional cab or cummins. the 8 could be year or 80 85 serries, 3 ton or even it was made in japan. the f could mean it was made in flint, mi. or 54" alum tilt. 3 could be chassis cab so taking an edjumated guess i would say chevy 78 cab and chassis then idk.
