instrument cluster gages
« on: July 28, 2013, 10:44:53 am »
hey all, i'm in the process of restorin my 73 chevy c20 pickup 454 7.5.
most of which it needed restore'n is complete but i came to a stand still when it came to electrical, ive purchased a whole new wiring harness. everything is going ok while wiring the as per diagram but i've noticed it doesnt come with a cluster plug for the instrument gages. the original wiring on the truck was destroyed so i had to get rid of it.

so now i think i have to wire the them gages individually. question is whom do i contact that does or rebuilds instrument clusters gages?...please i appreciate it in advance. God bless :)

FYI - if you decide to tackle the instrument cluster wiring yourself, procure a used 18-pin I/P harness connector from a local salvage yard.  To the best of my knowledge, new connectors are no longer available as a standalone part.

Refer to the 73-76 Instrument Cluster wiring diagram and the 73 Wiring Manual (page 2) in the Technical Pages for details.  A plethora of useful information can be found in the Forum's Technical Pages.  Or, you can purchase a complete 1973 Wiring Diagrams manual.
