Chevy stock 8 hole alloy wheels
« on: July 29, 2013, 05:57:08 pm »
I recently bought a 1985 suburban c10 and I don't particularly care for the wheels it came with.  I was at the junk yard today and saw a suburban with 4 of the chevy 8 hole aluminum wheels with what look like dry tires on it for $140 total.  I was wondering if this was a good deal for these wheels or not?

Thank you for your time!

In my opinion I think so. I would expect all 4 to be in the 125-175 range.

The most important question is, do you like them?  If you like them and they are in your budget then rock on and enjoy!

My 87 suburban has the stock steel wheels with trim rings and they look ok to me but if I had those I'd be happy to put them on. I think you did good.

Good deal if they are all straight with no curb rash.  I'd love to have them instead of the 15x8 rallies.

After a bit of hunting I finally found what my truck currently has on it.

So hopefully I can turn this into an even better deal for me after cleaning mine up a bit and listing on craigslist.

Those look like 4x4 rims (6 lug) ::)   they won't work if you have a  C10  2 wheel drive

Yeah, that pic is just a example I found online.  I didn't look to see how many lugs the ones at the junkyard are since they were stacked up inside an old suburban, but the tires that were mounted on them make me think that they were 6 lug.
