Higher amp alternator
« on: July 30, 2013, 08:51:41 am »
Hello,  I'm wanting to put a higher amp alternator on my 87 r10 square.  The one that is on it is a 94 amp with a 2 pin connector. Im wanting to put a 105 amp or higher on it but i'm not sure how to wire up the new style connector.  Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Have you done the big 10 upgrade yet? I'd not do that first.

This is a good reference to start with: http://www.chevelles.com/techref/ftecref14.html

I've got a 105 A CS-130 alternator in my Chevelle that works great!
