8' Bed Repair
« on: July 30, 2013, 07:37:34 pm »
hey guys, starting to finish up the mechanical bugs with the swap ( 472 ) starting to look at the body, fenders are a little beat up, nothing a bit of fill cant handle, pin hole in the rocker panel, but the bed is toast, east coast salt takes no mercy on these truck beds, floor and cross members were decent, replaced one, but the tail lights are falling out because the inner mount just rotted off, does anyone know if they make a patch panel for the inner light housing?

Nobody makes those pieces you need. I have the same situation on my bed. Here is a thread about it.

I have seen a repair done on this area at Blazin's shop. It was a good job, he remade the area that the light screws into.

I'm thinking on cutting the rust out and using epoxy to hold them in until I can get new sides
