one back fire and you got a nice little fire going

Not into the throat of the carb, into the fuel inlet.

Do not run the motor while pouring gas into the carb.....(it kinda sounds like what you are describing)  Run a rubber hose from your gas can to the inlet on the fuel pump.
going off what he way saying sorry buddy

Any advice on removing carriage bolt from a truck bed?  Down to the last 2 ..the closest to the cab and there extremely tight .. already use penetrating oil / breaker bar / power tools. Don't have a tourch or plasma cutter . Just a angle grinder

Go get a little propane bottle set up, the kind used to solder copper pipe.  It takes a while but you can get enough heat to it to break loose

Just use the angle grinder (carefully).  I guessed more or less where the square hole would be in the bed floor and cut straight down in four places on each head, cutting four little pieces off so the bolt would just fit through.  Took about two minutes per bolt.

These are handy.  http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200396173_200396173?isSearch=9094281

Only goes to 3/4", but those should be 1/2-13 carriage bolts with 3/4" nuts.
