Seam sealer?
« on: August 01, 2013, 09:55:44 pm »
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows what kind of seam sealer GM used on these, or if there's something similar to it.  I'm not talking about that black tar type stuff on the firewall, I mean the white stuff that's in the cowl and where the bottom of the windshield meets the doorframe and stuff.

In my opinion...the best seam sealer is made by Kent, a company that you can't buy in a local store. I would ask local body shops if they have a Kent rep. that comes in. The second hurdle is that it's a Two-part mix system that uses a special gun.
Now for second best & something you can buy: Either U-pol - Tiger seal (I prefer the Gray) or Fusor (Tan in a regular caulking tube).    Either one will do fine for what your needing. Lorne

I used Dynatron 550 gray seam sealer bought at a paint and body shop supply store.
