Where to put tweeters in a suburban?
« on: August 19, 2013, 02:14:19 pm »
I won a pair of focal k2 power 165KR's on ebay and they're component with tweeters, however, I have no idea where I should mount them.  I was eventually wanting to pick up some A pillar trim from the junk yard and bondo up some tweeter mounts, but I wasn't planning on doing that quite yet.

Does anyone else have any experience with this?

Thanks!

You could make a 4x10 blank where the center speaker goes if it was just an AM and mount them temporarily there until you do it right.  You may find them working great mounting them as far apart as you can.  My $.02

in my truck in the middle speaker spot on the dash ive got a dual voice coil 4x10 and from there i branch off a 3inch tweeter to each side of the dash in those speaker spots. works amazingly.
