84 K20 5.7L 350 Fan Shroud help
« on: August 20, 2013, 08:35:33 am »
Dad and I recently rebuilt the 350 in my 1984 K20 pickup. Getting down to the last few things and I cannot find a matching fan shroud. I have ordered 2 different ones and neither is tall enough to fit over the radiator. I have the originals that were on it before I took did the rebuild but the bottom piece is cracked and a little bent and rubs on the fan blade.

Summit doesn't show a two piece for my truck and seems to be the wrong thing. Any ideas where I can find the shroud? Thanks in advance for your help

Have you tried The junk yard? Or craigslist if you are looking for a factory replacement.

I have searched all the junkyards within 200 miles and no one has it. Craigslist is also coming up blank. I have found some online but not sure which dealers are good to deal with

Also, return freight is very expensive and I want to get the right parts this Tims. If the part costs me $35 and $5 for them to ship to me, but then costs me $35 to ship it back, why bother wasting both our time?

I haven't found anything that has good enough info and pics for me to be confident I am getting the right part

I will post a pic when I get home this evening. And yes, if the old one wasn't bent and cracked it would fit perfect
